ABSTRACT
Several academic research journals are dedicated to pyrotechnics and energetic materials, constantly publishing new research and advancing the state-of-the-art. Numerous enthusiast and trade groups exist to support the pyrotechnics and fireworks communities. These groups are the core to the world of pyrotechnics, advancing the art, advocating for safety and environmental concerns, and providing a forum for discussion and presentation of their members’ fascinating work. These include the Pyrotechnics Guild International, an international organization dedicated to the artistry, preservation, and enjoyment of fireworks. The American Pyrotechnics Association is an industry group whose mission is “to encourage safety in design & use of all types of fireworks, to provide industry information & support to its members, and to promote responsible regulation of the fireworks industry.”.
