ABSTRACT

This chapter is agile since that is the common view of this methodology; however, the industry is seeing an explosion of many dialects spawning from the initial view. It demonstrates some of the main features related to the Task Board. The chapter provides a broad outline of agile methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques. It also provides some general recommendations on how best an organization can implement agile methodologies, according to J. Schiel. In 2001, a small group of people wanted to change the project management environment by making software development easier. Iterative to development is based on a mindset of collaboration with customers who will use the ultimate deliverable. Scrum and Kanban dialects are both pull systems that ensure work moves from the product backlog to the customer in the shortest possible time. Kanban is another increasingly recognized dialect that uses similar aspects of the agile methodology.
