ABSTRACT

The arrival of women in power structures, beyond the improvement of the dissemination of good practices for women and all employees of the enterprise, should be a factor of economic growth for the enterprise. Several companies have introduced into their governance code a recommendation to strengthen the presence of women on the boards of directors of large companies. The renewals of the boards of directors of enterprises made it possible to implement these recommendations immediately. Several professional networks have developed coaching and mentoring programs in industrialized countries, aimed at developing a ‘pool of women’ qualified to become directors of a large enterprise within two years to three years. With different sensitivities, the experts agree on the interest of reducing to three the simultaneous mandates exercised by men or women on the boards of directors and supervisory boards of the companies in the perimeter.
