ABSTRACT

The purchasing power of individual wages is increasing less and less. It took only 15 years after the war to double the purchasing power of per capita wages. It leads to proposals for flexibility, resorting to foreign ‘models,’ where the recommendation to decentralize the corporate pact by restoring the enterprise as a place to focus on its definition is strongly needed. The changes in the pact in the enterprise that have tended to further deregulation, are marked by a ‘divestment’ of the specifically entrepreneurial component of this pact. The practices of enterprises with regard to the remuneration of their employees are very diverse. Increases may be general and/or individualized in relation to the granting of bonuses linked or not to performance and other compensation components which supplement the basic salary. The poverty rate is significantly higher in populations away from work while it is particularly low among full-time, stable employees.
