## ABSTRACT

Probability is based on the observation of certain events. Probability of an event is the ratio of the number of observations of the event to the total number of observations. A probability is determined from an experiment, which is any activity that has an observable outcome such as tossing a coin and recording whether it lands heads up or tails up. The multinomial distribution or probability is just a generalisation of the binomial distribution or probability. A multinomial distribution is the distribution of probability in which the outcomes are coming from a multinomial experiment. The binomial probability is a special case of this multinomial probability only. The binomial distribution deals with events where both the probability of the event occurring and the probability of event not occurring in any one trial are real and known.
