ABSTRACT

The feasibility assessment is carried out at the following three levels: technical feasibility, financial feasibility and organisational feasibility. A market feasibility study determines the depth and condition of a particular market and its ability to support a particular development. The key concern of a market feasibility study for development is a project's ultimate marketability. Critical issues are those issues that will have impact on a company's efforts to become and remain competitive within a market and depend on the following. Pest analysis describes a framework of macro-environmental factors used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management. A technical feasibility study is a good tool for both short- and long-term planning. It can serve as a flowchart of how the products and services evolve and move through the business to physically reach the market. Sufficient funds are required to sustain the development of the new product, this should be throughout the development and manufacturing phase.
