ABSTRACT

Intuition is considered a ‘magical sense’, it is actually a combination of previous experience and the decision-makers’ personal values. There are a number of issues that can prevent ineffective decision-making. The team leader may come up with a list of possible solutions or options and decides to use either brainstorming or other idea-generating process to process a solution. This stage can be important to as a decision will be made from the selection of fixed choices. The information gathering should have provided sufficient data on which to base a decision and it is known the advantages and disadvantages of each option. A decision tree is a map of the possible outcomes of a series of related choices. There is a link between decision tree representations and logical representations, which can be exploited to make it easier to understand learned decision trees.
