ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses and reviews recent advances in fiber optic sensor technology in the field of biomedicine. Biomedical sensors are among the most efficient and reliable in terms of results compared to traditional instruments for measuring biological, chemical, and physiological factors in the living body are classified as life-saving devices, with their precise potential for obtaining physiological information and their high ability to address them. The rapid acceleration in recent scientific development has led to the emergence of wearable sensor technology, which has been used in the medical field for continuous observation, which has revolutionized the progress of this area greatly. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) with fiber optic investigation is one of the most useful ways to analyze proteins. High-quality spectra can be obtained from low concentrations of the analyzing in a variety of environments without interference.
