ABSTRACT

An organization is a place for a group of people who work coordinately to achieve a common goal. In each organization there is a team or group which is formed to complete a particular task. A collection of two or more people who work with each other regularly and have common goals, shared expectations, joint activities, and mutually agreed norms are generally defined as a group. Each team or group in the organization has group norms. Group norms are unwritten rules which define group role behavior that members can accept. Norms include the level of performance assessed by the group, the performance of members in the group, the relationships with managers, and other formal aspects of organizations. Group dynamics is a strength that operates within groups. It affects the way members communicate and work with one another. The ego that lies within group members is one of many factors that is underlying the emergence of group dynamics.
