ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some mathematical techniques of forecasting and inventory management as a part of the overall quantitative techniques for project planning and control. Several analytical tools are essential for analyzing project systems. Forecasting and inventory control are two of such tools. Prior to proceeding to the project management phase, a good understanding of the enterprise system, within which the project resides, is indispensable for getting a successful output.
