ABSTRACT

The probability can only be calculated for random variables. The probability distribution of a discrete random variable (e.g., electric load) is presented by a probability histogram as the relationship between the electric load and its probability of occurrence. Relative frequency is calculated as the frequency of certain data in a given data set divided by the total number of frequencies. A reliability block diagram performs any system that needs a reliability and availability analyses on large and complex systems. The Markov process is adaptive to derive expressions for two units in series and parallel. The two-state unit model conditions of fluctuating normal and stormy weather. Markov models are a mathematical way of calculating steady-state and transient probabilities.
