ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the process of detecting surface key features of carrot using computer vision and deep learning and proposes detection algorithm of fibrous root, black spot and bend based on image processing and transfer learning. It aims to establishe the classification model of carrot recognition based on the technology of transfer learning, and the AlexNet network is pretrained using ImageNet. The information of carrot is collected using the image, and thereafter, the recognition model is erect on AlexNet network, which is pre-trained by a large-scale computer vision database. The development of convolutional neural network has greatly improved the ability of image classification and object detection. These are multiple layers of processing that apply image analysis filters. Abstract representation of each layer of the image is constructed by systematically convolving multiple filters on the image, generating a feature map, and taking it as input of the next layer.
