ABSTRACT

This chapter proposes to reconnect the primitive affinity to mobility public spaces which is now mostly mobility space due to difficult access to isolated green and open spaces. Most of human experiences are learned behaviour. One of the fundamental premises of why humans move, and how to build a city around the inherent nature of mobility, remains today a great omission in urban mobility. Urban space, particularly public space, is the heart of our daily life. The chapter proposes a few powerful processes of implementing the mobility DNA concept to rebuild all the mobility spaces slowly over time, avoiding the spectacle of a handful of streets made over. It focuses on the systematic understanding of how to find the invisible space, making it visible, developing reclaiming practices, and finally bringing about the transformation process to become human space.
