ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the system dynamics and control perspective with the aim of presenting a short review on mathematical modeling, coordination and control of multiagent dynamical systems. The main purpose of using multiagent systems is to collectively reach goals that are difficult to achieve by an individual agent or a monolithic system. When the main dynamic action of interest is motion, the terms swarm or sometimes formation are used in place of multiagent dynamic system. The chapter also presents an overview of the key concept discussed in this book.
