ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on getting to know the four visual variables used for differentiation and association data. How you should represent nominal qualitative data is the aim of this chapter: it is all about color (hue), texture/structure, orientation, and shape. You can also read about the cultural and symbolic dimensions of color in this chapter.
