ABSTRACT

The temperature of a system is a measure of the random motion or kinetic energy of the molecules within the system. The term “static” is used if the fluid is standing still or where there is no fluid motion within the system. A system is any grouping of matter taken in a convenient or arbitrary manner, whereas a property is an observable characteristic that is determined by the state of a system and, in turn, aids in determining the state of a system. The condition of a system, described by its position, energy, and so on, is called the state of the system. Thermodynamic equipment is best analyzed by rigorously applying the concept of a system. Treating all components of production is system analysis at its best, and this should be kept in mind when considering different energy sources in energy systems.
