ABSTRACT

The best way to navigate your way as an intrapreneur is to imagine your unit as a stand-alone business. This business needs to have certain resources and systems in place, needs to bring in a certain amount of business to cover overheads and yield a desired profit, and needs to deliver a quality product in a certain amount of time, within an agreed budget with the client. It is also important to remember that cashflow is king, and although you may have the best order book, without money coming in, your unit is not a viable business. Oh, and most of all, profitability is key!
