ABSTRACT
It explains the possibilities of energy conservation in buildings such as commercial offices and domestic sector which devour around 33% of the aggregate power utilized in the nation. Due to various difficulties in having energy through renewable, the conservation through green buildings cannot be ignored. In this chapter, various parameters have been discussed related to human comfort, proper utilization of daylight and thermal insulation. The energy conservation building codes development and its effects on energy saving opportunities in building are also discussed in detail.
