ABSTRACT

The 3D game kit was originally released by Unity in 2018 to show off some of the new features of Unity at that time. It looks like a published, commercial game with beautiful graphics, some great assets, code, audio, GUI, etc. It’s well worth to look at this, even though it’s promoted as a way to make games without coding. The chapter allows us to build a small test scene and use it to display and test out enemies. It allows us to install a small medieval town from the Asset Store. It enables to put some buildings and other items into the Test scene and see how our simple enemy AI deals with this scene. The game is basically playable, but we still have a long way to go toward a releasable game.
