ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 considers various aspects of computer-intensive methods for analyzing data. This includes the power of tests to detect effects, the number of random sets of data needed for testing data, how to determine a randomizing distribution exactly, the number of random sets of data needed for calculating confidence intervals, more efficient bootstrap sampling methods, how to generate pseudo random numbers, and how to generate random permutations of data.
