ABSTRACT
There are terms and things which each person must understand to be a safety auditor. The main point with the International Atomic Energy Agency and safety auditing in the nuclear industry is that it is done through quality auditing. The auditor can find the Quality Management System and Safety Management System which are integrated and implemented as one system in some of the companies which are the subjects of an audit, so they must be familiar with both. In the area of safety, oversight activities are: constant monitoring, audits, surveys, occurrence reporting, investigations, surveys, and studies. It is very important for auditors to be familiar with operations and technologies used by audited companies so as to have the capability to judge the validity and integrity of the records offered by the company. The auditor must have a good understanding of Human Factors (HF) and they must differentiate between activities in the company based on HF or a bad safety culture.
