ABSTRACT

Treatable traits in asthma are concerned with issues regarding the complete management of asthma, and this has been presented with the current knowledge available to allow the readers to draw their own conclusions concerning asthma management. Asthma management is complex because the condition is so heterogeneous. In addition, asthma management differs depending on where you live, where you practice (e.g. outside of the hospital or in tertiary care), the severity of asthma, the frequency of intra and extrapulmonary co-morbidities and the number of risk factors. Treatable traits offer a framework that can be adapted to available resources and patient preferences.
