ABSTRACT

Taiwan’s semiconductor market is primarily an integrated circuit (IC) market. The major reason for this fast growth is the booming electronics industry, which has become a high IC-usage business. The industrial framework of Taiwan’s IC industry has gradually become an integrated industry. The national strategy is to establish all aspects of these technical capabilities in order to be a world leader in the microelectronic packaging business. The diode industry is crucial in the overall development of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. The development of IC products has always been the mainstream of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. Taiwanese firms may have opportunities to produce thyratron products in the near future when well-established manufacturers in advanced countries decide to transfer their production facilities overseas. Taiwan is involved in the development of multi-chip module technologies for various product applications.
