ABSTRACT

Chapter 5 describes several fundamental models and methods that have been developed through previous interdisciplinary transition innovation, management and engineering (InTIME) projects. The feedback control theory of anthropogenic system dynamics provides insight into the role of engineering shift projects in the efforts to reduce emissions. Development vector analysis is useful in dealing with the ideas of technology substitutions that are currently held by stakeholders. The strategic analysis of complex systems approach helps to explore a range of possible interconnecting projects.
