ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a brief introduction to green technology. It begins with explaining the concept of green technology. Then it encourages going green. It provides specific examples of green technologies, which will be fully discussed in the book. The advantages and disadvantages of green technologies are presented in comparison to conventional and more polluting technologies. The benefits and challenges of green technologies are stated. The last section concludes with some comments.
