ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a brief introduction to green IT/computing. It first addresses the general idea of greening technology and then brings out the concept of green computing. It explains ways to implement green computing and its benefits and challenges. Then it discusses current trends in green IT/computing. The last section concludes the chapter.
