ABSTRACT

Human capabilities, skills, and needs must be considered early in the design and development process, and must be continuously considered throughout the development lifecycle. Human–Systems Integration (HSI) is both a process and a solution during the whole life cycle of a system, from its inception to its dismantling. Integration, more specifically HSI, contributes the optimization of time to market by improving agility of the development process, alignment with job requirements, and operation’s effectivity in terms of time and content satisfaction. Human-in-the-loop evaluation is always beneficial to the discovery of emerging behaviors and properties, because it enables evaluation of human’s actions and organizational capacity and support. Cooperation between the human and the machine governs the entire stability of the overall system. Elicitation of this cooperation knowledge involved in the control task is extremely difficult for knowledge engineers that are novices in the expertise domain.
