ABSTRACT

Chapter 7 focuses on spectrum sensing techniques. The conventional spectrum sending techniques, namely, energy detection, match filter detection, and cyclostationary feature detection have been discussed. A brief discussion on cooperative spectrum sensing and the two-hypothesis model is also presented. Hybrid spectrum sensing, an amalgamation of five methods, namely, generalized likelihood ratio test, robust estimator correlator, robust test static detector, robust estimator correlator detector, and interference-based detection is included at the end.
