ABSTRACT
The preparatory material contains basic notation for multivariate apparatus. The material is well-known, e.g., from the monograph of W. Freeden, where all proofs can be found, too. This chapter gives an introduction of the basic nomenclature in Cartesian as well as spherical notation. Basic integral theorems of vector analysis are studied for regular regions. The chapter begin with some basics of vector analysis and provides definition of harmonic functions.
