ABSTRACT

30.I A 13-year-old female spayed Balinese cat presents with a complaint of recent weight loss. The cat is otherwise active and has a good appetite. Historically there have been occasional bouts of vomiting, but these have reduced recently. On physical examination, the cat has a low body condition score (3/9) and is judged to be underweight. Temperature and respiratory rate are considered normal; she is tachycardic at 180 BPM with a slight gallop rhythm noted.
