ABSTRACT

116 An 8-year-old castrated male mixed breed dog is presented for a 2-week history of anorexia, lethargy, and vomiting. He has been treated with once-daily omeprazole and thrice-daily sucralfate, which has resulted in no improvement in his clinical signs. He is up-to-date on annual vaccines and receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. He has not received any drugs (e.g., NSAIDs, steroids) other than those listed. On physical examination, he has pale mucus membranes. He splints when his cranial abdomen is palpated. His vitals are normal and his body condition score is 6/9. A picture of the vomitus is shown.
