ABSTRACT
This chapter describes how the basic fluid flow equations are applied to determine forces acting on pipe bends, natural convection, impact of jets, losses due to sudden changes of cross section, forces on a solid body in a flow field, hydraulic jump, and the estimation of drag, lift, wake and terminal velocity.
