ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces sediment classification followed by types of sediment load formulas such as bed load formulas (DuBoys, Shields and Einstein), suspended load formulas (Rouse and Einstein equations), bed material load formula (Ackers-White) and gives methods of estimating sediment yield.
