ABSTRACT
This chapter describes different types of conceptual rainfall-runoff models (Stanford Watershed model, Tank model, HEC series, Xinanjiang model, variable infiltration capacity model and SHE model), physics-based models (dynamic wave equations, diffusion wave approximation, kinematic wave approximation) and their solution techniques. The chapter also gives a list of data-driven approaches as well as some challenges in rainfall-runoff modelling.
