ABSTRACT
This chapter begins with a description of various methods of representing statistical data. It then gives descriptions of regression and correlation, frequency analysis, basic concepts of probability and different probability distribution functions used in hydrology, parameter estimation, errors in frequency analysis, goodness of fit analysis and hypothesis testing.
