ABSTRACT
At any stage of one's career, ideas can arise that are adventurous. This means that an idea might be completely unexpected, even appearing to oneself as being unlikely to work. Most likely, it will be necessary to explore such ideas without research grant funding, although that is not always the case, as adventurous research funding schemes do occasionally happen.
