ABSTRACT

The United States public debt (USPD) is the amount owed by the federal government of the United States. This chapter presents the ten-year prediction for the public debt of the USPD via a three-layer feed-forward neuronet. It is worth mentioning that the research work used the USPD data as of October 2013, and our research group reported the main prediction results of the USPD as of November 2015. Because the debt is closely related to the development of the United States, the prediction of the USPD, which can be used for planning and research, is becoming urgent and important. The chapter explains the neuronet prediction for the USPD, shows that different possibilities of the change of the USPD in the future. These prediction results may also possibly imply that some events including wars may happen, thereby resulting in the decrease of the USPD.
