ABSTRACT

The rapid development of microelectronic technologies over the past few decades has boosted the utilization of networks which consist of a large number of devices implemented distributively for sensing and communication as well as actuating. A quintessential example is the sensor network which has found wide applications ranging from various industrial branches to critical infrastructures such as military facilities and power grids. In particular, the state estimation or filtering problems over sensor networks have posed many emerging challenges, which have attracted ever-increasing research attention within the signal processing and control community.
