ABSTRACT
Extenics is an original trans-disciplinary discipline originated by Professor Cai Wen, a Chinese scholar, in 1983. The theory examines the possibility of the extension and transformation of things, the rules and methods of innovation in a formalized approach. Moreover, the discipline is also used for solving contradictory problems, defined as problems that cannot be resolved within existing conditions.
