ABSTRACT

This chapter contains practice questions to help readers hone their knowledge and test their skills. It covers all five of the program management domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Management Life Cycle, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Management, and Governance. The program delivery phase begins when governance approves the program management plan. Component transition addresses the need for ongoing activities from a component to an operational support function to achieve ongoing benefits. Progress, cost information, risk analysis, and other information specific to a particular group are included in status information. E-mails, small group conversations, and staff meetings are the primary methods to communicate day-to-day activities. The information repository is useful when there is a need to refer to past decisions or prepare trend analysis using historical information. Component managers report results and closeouts to the program manager at the component level in contract administration.
