ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the final challenges of the problem-solving journey. After the problems are defined, root causes are analyzed, hypotheses are created and tested, and systematic data analyses are completed before the solution implementation phase. Detailed information is provided about various techniques and tools, such as Poka-Yoke and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA). Examples are chosen to provide the reader with ample scope for mastering these concepts for successful application. Also the concept of A3 documentation and One Page Learning documents are discussed. A basic reader will find it helpful to use the Poka-Yoke technique to prevent reoccurrence of a problem, conduct an FMEA to bring concepts to a fruitful conclusion, describe the entire problem-solving journey for documenting information in an easily comprehensible manner, and to list all opinions and counter opinions through a network diagram and stakeholder analysis.
