ABSTRACT

The National Instruments Signal Processing Engineering Educational Device for Youth (NI SPEEDY)33 depicting the Texas Instruments DSP TMS320 VC33 is a programmable, high-performance, low cost and self-contained product for specialized DSP applications. It possesses a quick, easy-to-use DSP as well as important features for many applications. The board has an easy-to-use, easy-to-learn software programming tool and maintains the fast establishment of standalone DSP products. The board supports two I/O analog channels which are sampled at 48KHz, on-chip memory of 136KB, eight onboard flash memory of 512K each, eight digital I/O lines as an input port and eight digital LEDs as an output port. Figure 2.1 shows the top view layout of NI SPEEDY-33.
