ABSTRACT

This chapter illustrates the application of the unified equation to solve the API 15HR long-term requirement for composite pipes. An accurate analysis should include the residual strains. The long-term pure static and pure cyclic strengths of unidirectional (UD) plies in the fiber direction come from the appropriate pure regression lines. Compute the long-term rupture durability of boron-free oil pipes operating under the stated API 15HR conditions. In the weeping process, the water moves along many narrow and long macro-cracks parallel to the UD fibers. One very simple way to boost the weep time and obtain higher Hydrostatic Design Basis values in the ASTM D 2992 B protocol is to increase the wall thickness of the test specimens. Compute the short-term weep safety factor of oil pipes operating under the specified API 15HR conditions.
