ABSTRACT
Wearable devices are increasingly incorporating PPG sensors, and this means that PPG signals will be collected in a wide range of circumstances (walking, running, and so on). The collection of PPG signals in varying conditions will incur motion and noise artifacts that make analysis more difficult. This chapter discuss the challenges of PPG data collection and possible techniques to reduce extraneous noise in PPG signals.
