ABSTRACT
4G comes with advanced capabilities and features such as higher peak data rates, improved system capacity and coverage, better spectrum efficiency, low latency, reduced operating costs, multi-antenna support, flexible bandwidth operation, and seamless integration with existing systems. 5G wireless communication network is the next generation connectivity and technology for the next decade and beyond that is set up to meet the International Mobile Telecommunication-2020 requirements. 5G technology promises a large number of state-of-the-art features including Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) for a connected world. NB-IoT devices are powered by a battery. It data rate, usage, and coverage scenario determines how long this battery can run with a single charge. NB-IoT has the layering architecture of its protocol stack, services, and functions that are to be transmitted and received on a specific type of media; in this case, it is the wireless channel.
