ABSTRACT

Advancement of technology and knowledge over the years is so prodigious that the world has entered a new era of economic development. Globalization is defined as opening up of global economy with increase in integration of economies around the world through interaction with people, companies, and governments that are driven by international trade and investments aided by emerging information technology. The current state of globalization constitutes impacts on global markets and taken shape on the societies, governments, and organizational system which challenge will be faced by every country. While having numerous positive effects to an organization, technology alongside globalization also has changed the way HRM operates within an organization. HRM employees have become the primary source of information in most of the organizations. Information can quickly and easily be accessed and communicated via several channels of communication like websites or social media. Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) now allow HRM employees to better utilize human resource (HR) plans, make decisions faster, clearly define jobs, evaluate performance, and provide cost-effective benefits that employees want. Technology helps to strengthen communication between the external community and employees.
