ABSTRACT

As a business grows, there will be an increase of workloads and processes, which may impact to become complex and require more resources and this could create some employment opportunities to the market. In other hand, recruitment is the “most critical human resource function for organizational success and survival” and it is the “foundation of the organizational performance.” Successful recruitment practice may result in strategic competitiveness of the organization. By applying a MIS to HRM practice, it may have solved the problems on the growing numbers of employees in an organization. This study found that MIS is essential in HRM, the size of the firm indicates the choices of the firm to decide whether to implement the MIS or just use the internal recruitment and selection sources. In reality, a relatively small firm would commonly prefer the simple approach, whereas big multilevel organization would require a reliable MIS for their HRM, since by having an IS it would require a credible HR practitioner and teams with IT tools and skills to run the system.
