Reengineering is changes the process and structure of an organization by using information technology (IT) to attain a greater advantage in achieving an organization’s goals. Reengineering involves relearning current business processes, identifying processes that are less efficient, coming up with an action plan in eliminating wastage and unnecessary efforts, and designing new processes for an organization to gain competitive advantage. Few factors that lead to competition are demand, product quality, price, service given to customers, an organization’s position in the market, suppliers and buyers bargaining power, and threat of new entrance. While applying reengineering to an organization, it is important to empower people by giving them authority and capability to make full use of their skills and ability, providing proper working environment as well as up-to-date equipment, and enhancing their skills through training. To ensure that reengineering process flow smoothly, it is important to have a close relationship with employees to provide them with information for keeping them on track and improving their performance. In other hand, human errors can also be avoided by providing employees with the right tools based on IT emerging technology.
