ABSTRACT
Historically, the mobile technologies have transitioned from one generation to the next over a period of ten years. Figure 5.1 (reproduced from Chapter 2 with minor modification) shows this evolution and indicates the need to look beyond 4G over the next few years to define and develop the next generation of mobile networks.
