ABSTRACT
Construction phase of a project is literally started when the project's first construction contractor begins mobilizing to the jobsite. The duty of field construction management organization of a contractor is to ensure a professional construction stage by supervising and coordinating all field operations in accordance with the contract as well as with good engineering and construction practices commonly accepted in the industry. It is the amount of direct manpower of a contractor that receives a very major attention in verifying the actual progress of the works with the plan. Constructor's site organization is normally headed by a resident site manager and supported often by a deputy site manager. Commissioning is the phase in which the process fluids are charged into the plant. "Mechanical completion" is a key milestone of a project at the end of construction and is contractually documented with a certificate signed by the owner.
